When thinking about this first blog post I went to google and searched “how to write your first blog post” I got quite a few results and a lot of different opinions on how you should structure your first post.

Most articles had a list that went something like this:

Who You are.

Why Are You Blogging

What is this blog about and what will you be writing

Let your readers know how they can comment and get involved

Made sense to me, 4 easy steps to writing your first blog post. This is the post I’m supposed to WOW my new readers with and hook them into coming back to read what I write.

So now it’s my turn to fill in the blanks

Who is Steve Vox?

Actually SteveVox is the name of my web site. “Vox” is the latin word for “voice”. My real name is Steve Brooks.

I am a entrepreneur, Online Marketer and Writer. I have been online since 1994 and ran dial in BBS’s prior to that. I work in the communications field full time.

I have created static web sites, wordpress blogs, made money with Adsense and sold stuff with Adwords. I also have niche sites that promote affiliate products, etc.

I am a ebook junkie and am learning about making videos for the web. Some might say I have a Form A.D.D and jump around a lot and lack focus (Is true and I am working on it) I also play guitar and sing. That’s a lot of I’s.

Why am I blogging?

I am always reading books, surfing the web and picking up new information. I have helped people I know personally get online and make money and promote their business.

like helping people and would like to expand on that. There are a ton of people online writing about making money from home but a lot of them have a different take on it and look at things from a different angle. Everybody is unique and may have a new perspective.

The other reason I blog is to improve my writing. The more you write the better you get. I don’t claim to be a great write in fact it’s quite the opposite. According to some I write horribly, but I don’t really care if it gets my point across in a somewhat understandable way.

What is this blog about and what will you be writing?

As I hinted above. This blog is about my take Internet Marketing, Making money online and working from home. I lean towards the basics in business and using practical ways to get things done. I am also in the get rich slow club. I don’t subscribe to the “Get Rich” crowd and some of the absurd stuff I have heard online. Business and marketing are a marathon not a sprint. You need to be consistent in your actions and practice the basics everyday.

And last but not least..

Let your readers know how they can comment and get involved

I would love to hear from you. You can leave a comment in the space below the post. Or you can email me at steve@stevevox[DOT]com

or I am on Twitter @stevevox

Well there you have it. I don’t know if I Wow’ed anyone but I gave it a good shot. I can’t promise this blog will change your life but lets see what we can do.

My primary source for this post, Thanks Mack. http://mackcollier.com/how-to-write-your-first-blog-post/
